These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of training.initd.sg (the “Site”) and the courses, content, and services offered by InitD Training (“InitD”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the Site, creating an account, or enrolling in a course, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. InitD is based in Singapore, and these Terms are governed by Singapore law.
1. Who may use the Site
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to create an account or purchase a course. By using the Site you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.
2. Accounts
Some features — including course access — require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or to harm others.
3. Courses and enrolment
When you enrol in a course, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access that course’s content for your own learning. Courses are described on their individual pages; we aim to keep descriptions accurate, but content, schedules, and availability may change or be updated over time.
4. Pricing and payment
Prices are shown on each course page and are payable in the currency stated at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; by purchasing, you agree to Stripe’s terms in addition to ours. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase. We may change prices from time to time, but changes do not affect courses you have already purchased.
5. Refunds
If a course does not meet your expectations, contact us at hello@initd.sg and we will work with you in good faith to resolve the issue. Refund eligibility depends on the course and how much of it you have accessed. This refund approach does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share, resell, sublicense, or publicly distribute course content or your account access.
- Copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our content except as expressly permitted.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, other accounts, or our systems.
- Upload malicious code, scrape the Site at scale, or otherwise interfere with its normal operation.
- Use the Site or content for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms.
7. Intellectual property
The Site and all course materials, text, graphics, logos, and other content are owned by InitD or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Enrolling in a course gives you a licence to use the materials for your own learning only; it does not transfer any ownership to you. “InitD” and our logos are our trademarks and may not be used without permission.
8. User contributions
If you submit reviews, comments, or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and reproduce that content in connection with the Site and our services. You are responsible for what you submit and confirm it does not infringe anyone’s rights or break any law. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.
9. Third-party tools and links
Our courses reference third-party tools (for example, Claude Cowork by Anthropic) and may link to external sites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party products, services, or websites, and your use of them is subject to their own terms. References to third-party tools are for education and do not imply endorsement or affiliation unless stated.
10. Disclaimers
The Site and courses are provided “as is” and “as available”. While we work hard to deliver accurate, useful content, we do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that following our courses will produce any particular result. Our content is for general educational purposes and is not professional, legal, financial, or other specialist advice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, InitD will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site or courses. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the course giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Site or a course if you breach these Terms or use the Site in a way that could harm InitD, other users, or third parties. You may stop using the Site at any time and ask us to close your account.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any dispute relating to them or to your use of the Site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
